The Florida Rural Economic Development Association (FREDA) proudly announces its new leadership team for the coming term. Richard Williams, Executive Director of Opportunity Florida and CareerSource Chipola, has been named Chair of FREDA. Joining him as Vice Chair is Denise Grimsley, Senior Advisor for The Development Group and member of the Florida Heartland Economic Region of Opportunity (FHERO). Together, they bring decades of experience and a shared commitment to advancing economic opportunities in rural Florida.

FREDA serves as the collective, unified voice for the 31 rural communities across the state, working to strengthen regional economies and support sustainable development. Through collaboration with public and private sector partners, FREDA continues to grow its influence and foster meaningful connections that benefit rural Floridians.
